Little bit about our instructor Carol Sweeton
A chance viewing of a rug hooking demonstration has led Carol to 25 years of rug hooking pleasure. Since her first class in a floral pattern with thinly cut strips of wool, Carol has proceeded to include work in wider cuts, primitive designs and a variety of materials. Carol prefers to design her own pieces although she sometimes puts her own spin on commercial patterns. Carol is a member of J.J. Ruggers (based in Paris Ontario), The Ontario Hooking Craft Guild and is pursuing teaching acreditation through the McGown program in the United States. She teaches rug hooking occasionally, often attends workshops and always has one or two pieces of "hooking" on the go.
