Sherry’s art is inspired by the natural beauty of Norfolk County, the area that she has spent over forty years in.
Her childhood was spent in Niagara on the Lake which allowed for entire days spent by the waters edge. This sparked her love for the element and for the meditative energy it brings.
As a self-taught artist she enjoys experimenting with different mediums, from cold wax and oil, to acrylic, pastels, and mixed media.
Strongly influenced by Monet her work can best be described as Abstract Impressionism. Her use of bold colours and contrast give her pieces a unique appeal.
Her work has been showcase in numerous group and solo shows and she has been successful in juried events.
When she is not teaching others to express their own artistic side in various local Norfolk adult learning events, or enjoying more of the natural beauty of Norfolk county that inspires her work, you will find her in her studio or cycling the trails.
