Patricia Haftar

Patricia works in acrylic and mixed media. She considers herself a colourist impressionist. Key theme in Pat’s acrylic work is to capture the beauty of the country we live in, she has had the privilege of travelling many times to all 10 provinces.

In Patricia’s words, they are magnificent. She wants people to see what it means, when we say we live in the greatest country in the world. Pat’s love of colour, movement, pattern, line and texture can be easily identified in each piece of her work. Patricia began her career by studying Commercial Art in high school & attending the Hawkley Valley School of Fine Arts. On retirement from teaching, Patricia has been mentored by James Kerr a noted Niagara artist, artist Margret Martin, John Leonard as well as Jane E. Jones and Denise Sperry both seven signature USA artists.

Patricia has been juried First in Show several times and had Honourable mentions. Her work has been covered by major media in the Niagara area. She is currently working on projects for galleries in Simcoe, Port Dover and Niagara on the Lake. Pat is an Art Instructor with Frame Craft St. Catharines, Port Colborne Art Association, The Artists Workshop, Simcoe, the Niagara Pumphouse as well she also opens her studio to students during the week.
